MIRROR OF ERISED( FROM HARRY POTTER) - THE LEGEND BEHIND:

Mirror of Erised

                          Long Ago,there in the ancient land of Gracia,was a 16 year old.A girl whose rich parents could afford everything she could want.They were unwillingly getting ready to send her off on her long journey.For Erica,the jewel of her parents was bored and tired.Bored and Tired of her parent's long heritage town.She was going on a long voyage with adventures,like those of her father's sailors.Her father was among the Richest Merchants of Gracia.It was getting late.The servants took the luggage into the caravan and the two servants with the family and Leron,the trusty guardian of Gracia reached the dock.

                       Tears drenching her parents face,she kissed them good bye.Her mother,Leona kissed her on both cheeks and she also kissed the Sierra colored crystal on Erica's neck.

"May the Crystal Of Erion protect you."
 she said and dropped the crystal inside her turtleneck hanging from her neck.

                          Leron and Gracia waved back at the dock as their ship departed.After the long and tiresome journey,they reached the shore of Abion(which is now called England).They were  received by her father's old friend,Simeon.They were welcomed and well entertained at his house,visiting places and meeting people.The next day was Erica's birthday(Simeon was informed of this by his old friend,Erica's father by a letter given through Leron,the guardian).The birthday celebrated in Simeon's Manor was as great as it would have been at Erica's own home.
                             That evening,they went to the Trade-center,where silk to spices,ornaments to perfumes were undocked in their tonnes.Simeon took her around the business trade-center.There in the cornor was an old man Methuselah.Simeon and Methuselah greeted each other,and Methuselah nodded as knowing what was required of him and called out,
"Sedian,get me that Scarlet Directoire for our young lady,my boy!"
Sedian rushed off immediately.

Erica gawked at the incredible piece of clothing that lay before her eyes.She thanked Simeon profusely.
"How do you like it madam?"
asked Sedian who was almost her age.She opened her eyes in wonder again.This time looking at Sedian's neck.
"Where did you get that crystal?" she asked him.

"This milady was his father's that is my son's Crystal Of Destiny,which I gave Sedian after his father died.Why does this bother you,mistress?" inquired the old man.

 Immediately she took her crystal out and show them to their wonder.

"I cannot believe this.That I would live to see this day".

"Methuselah,explain yourself!" pleaded Simeon.

"Well,its not a Legend.Not anymore....Ah now..See .my son's Sierra crystal and your's too,they form a single stone if you place them this way.See!And when you look inside each along the place they join.... Not that way .. yeah... And look through it towards the sky... Do you see it? Inside my son's Crystal you see a Crimson Ball like a drop of blood and inside your's miss what do you see..?"

" It's bluish .. It's azure...yeah.definely.An Azure Ball!"

"Yeah...This is the Legend Of Erion and Sedia.Now more than a mere legend of course .Erion and Sedia were from the magical clan of Remothah.They were friend,great friends some would says lovers perhaps.They lived together.. magic and adventure together.But for the great war of Ehena...People were dying ... Slain everywhere and Erion was chosen among his family to go fight in the war.There was no hope for their side.But he had to go,live or die...Before he left,he called Sedia,took out the Crystal Of Adornment and with his magical power he split it into two..They let their tears drop inside it and each one took the other's crystal .For they knew they would not see each other again...But one day,their tears would meet and a new destiny be born.A destiny that will give birth to another destiny.A destiny in years after a chosen one with a scar on his forehead..."

"Thats some story...Is this the day,they spoke of....",Erica kept staring at the sky like a statue.

MALAZAN EMPIRE (fantasy genre)

The Malazan Book of the Fallen is an epic fantasy series written by Canadian author Steven Erikson, published in ten volumes beginning with the novel Gardens of the Moon. As of August 2009, nine novels in the series have been published leaving only the final volume forthcoming. Erikson's series is complex with a wide scope, and presents the narratives of a large cast of characters.[1][2][2][3][4][5] Erikson's plotting presents a complicated series of events in the world upon which the Malazan Empire is located.

Each volume is relatively self-contained for the first five novels, in that the primary conflict of each novel is resolved within that novel. However, many underlying characters and events are interwoven throughout the works of the series, binding it together.


The Malazan world was co-created by Steven Erikson and Ian Cameron Esslemont in the early 1980s as a backdrop to their GURPS roleplaying campaign.[6] In 2005 Esslemont began publishing his own series of five novels set in the same world, beginning with Night of Knives.


Although Esslemont's books are published under a different series title - Novels of the Malazan Empire - Esslemont and Erikson collaborated on the storyline for the entire fifteen-book project and Esslemont's novels are considered as canonical and integral to the series as Erikson's own.
The Malazan series is often compared both to Glen Cook's The Black Company series (to whom the seventh book is dedicated) and George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series. By 2006, the series had sold 250,000 copies.

Nick under the tutelage of St Cartier stumbles on the identity of the Antichrist...

The emotional interplay between angelic and demonic characters in the realms of heaven, hell and Earth drew me into this book, capturing my interest in a way few books have recently. This is the best work of fiction I have read since the last installment of Dean Koontz Frankenstein series.

"The Fall of Lucifer" is among the best fiction I have read. This book grabbed my attention in the first few pages, and I was unable to turn away until I had read the final words. I am anxiously awaiting book two in the Chronicles of Brothers. It's been a long time since I've read a book so engrossing that it kept me awake at night. This intricate, imaginative, thought provoking fantastic adventure is just that kind of book.
